Role Summary/Purpose: Quality Assurance Engineer will perform integration, functional, security and regression testing, covering both manual and automation scenarios, for Java/J2EE based applications within the Solution portfolio. Responsibilities include: analyzing requirement and functional specifications,
formulating test plans, developing and executing test cases, reporting detailed test statuses, and logging defects.
Essential Responsibilities:
: Obtain domain knowledge and work collaboratively with the technical leads, product managers, engineers and end:users.
: Develop test cases for usecases, review them with the product managers and should ensure required coverage of test scenarios.
: Experience with performance testing, stress testing and security testing.
: Be an active team member and a team player of the solutions center team
: Participate in Agile Project and Task Planning and Status Reporting
: Write and execute manual and automated test cases that align to the strategy.
: Report and track defects
: Perform functional testing, performance testing, security testing and regression testing to ensure
a thorough assessment of software quality.
: Proficient in backend testing such as messages, database, purge routines.
: Automate the test scenarios wherever applicable
: Understand and follow IT quality systems procedures that are applicable to the job.
Qualifications/Requirements:
: BS in Computer Science or equivalent
: 4+ years experience testing Java/J2EE based applications including but not limited to testing webservices, SOA, EJBs and Messaging Queues.
: 1+ years of experience in automation tools such as QTP, HP LoadRunner, HP WinRunner
: Experience in Security Testing such as SQL injection, cross scripting.
: Hands on experience in both Black Box and White Box testing
: Experience applying SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX knowledge for testing is a must.
: Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives
: Experience with scrum or other agile SDLC
: Knowledge of Server and database technology.
