Role Summary/Purpose: The myGEAviation UX Systems Analyst is responsible for the design and development of customer facing software products within our Aviation product portfolio. myGEAviation is the next generation portal that enables a new model for supporting our Aviation customers leveraging cutting edge technology and design.
Essential Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of user interface layer of projects for the myGEAviation platform
Execute user interface designs from product requirements and UI specifications, implement front end interface with its look and feel and navigation
Proficient in developing custom java scripts to support interactive UI multiple browsers/devices and ability to support development of back:end application parts feeding data to UI
Ability to write code that aligns to GE/industry standards to deliver desired product functionality in a secure and scalable fashion
Abilityto use visual layout tools to create prototypes, mockups, wireframes, and user interface roadmaps to seamlessly work with other developers to give a brilliant user experiences that are built on resilient back:end technology
Actively work with core data structures and algorithms and implementation across myGEA tech stack
Actively participate in agile/fastworks development processes and prioritization of product developments, enhancements and bug resolution
Drive practices that optimize code reusability and solution collaboration
Ability to understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Communication to team members on project progress and risks to on time completion
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering (or related IT degree) with a minimum 4 years of experience with UI andweb development (IE java, php, html, css).
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics: Strong development background across multiple languages with knowledge in Javascript, Jquery, CSS, HTMLKnowledge of current information technologies and UI frameworks like bootstrap.js is a plusKnowledge of architecture and design patterns :Working knowledge of application servers, J2EE, Oracle, Unix O/S, Linux, Siteminder, LDAP, Database, Erwin, UML, Reverse Proxies, Messaging, Service Oriented Architecture, and physical architecturesProven analytical and problem resolution skillsGood debugging skills with knowledge on debug
