Cisco Security Business Group (SBG) develops and markets security products and solutions for Ciscos Borderless Networks. These products protect customer investments by providing infrastructure, perimeter and application level security, including products to deploy, operate and monitor policy throughout the infrastructure.
The Team
Are you one of those who is ready to the push the envelope? Do you feel normal is boring? Cisco is funding a Test Engineering team for Next generation Firewall (NGFW) and management center software. The NGFW is one of the most critical products of SBG. This network security solution along with Cisco FirePOWER appliances sets a new standard for advanced threat protection,integrating real:time contextual awareness, intelligent security automation, and unprecedented performance with industry:leading network intrusion prevention.
Role and Responsibilities
Work with a team of motivated A:players to
* Engage with support teams and/or customers learn how they deploy network security solutions.
* Work closely with developers, escalations, support, beta test and marketing teams at various stages of product
* Drive/collaborate with other technical leaders/software engineers on system/functional design.
* Own the test engineering activities for feature/features
* Have system:level focus while understanding the impact of every component
* Build and maintain network topologies essential for testing.
* Mentor and lead junior developers in both onshore and offshore locations.
Required Qualifications
* MSEE/CS combined with 2+ years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 4+ yrs related experience.
* Strong Networking skills with an expertise in network security.
* Expertise in security products and technologies like Firewall, IPS, VPN, and Vulnerability tests etc.
* Knowledgeable on next generation firewall technologies.* Experience in test methodologies and setting up the required test lab and equipment.
* Experience in Planning, Develop and implement test plans to ensure software features meet product requirements.
* Experience in testing and administering in Linux, UNIX and virtual network environments. 8232;
* Must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and willing to learn new skills
* Excellent problem solving skills with a can do attitude.
* Experience in scripting, Perl, Python is highly desired.
* Having Cisco Certification such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE (Routing / Security) is aplus.
