Job Description
Job responsibilities include:
1) Leadership and management of a team of talented networking engineers in a fast:paced and demandingdevelopment environment
2) Creating and promoting a development environment that encourages innovation and sets high standards for quality and productivity
3) Maintaining a core focus on delivery of features into Broadcom Switch Development Kit (Broadcom SDK) product releases
4) Ownership of planning and roadmap for design and implementation of APIs to leverage the latest silicon solutions in Carrier Ethernet area (Broadcom XGS product family, BCM56XXX)
5) Working collaboratively with other Software, Hardware, Marketing, and Application Engineering teams
6) Strengthening the team by hiring and retaining top:flight networking and driver development engineering talent

Job Requirements
Typically requires a BS in CS/EE and 12 years or MS in CS/EE and 9+ years of industry experience with a strong background in Embedded/System Software development.
* Experience in leadershipand management of a team of talented networking engineers in a fast:paced and demanding development environment
* Solid experience in managing complex engineering projects for the last 3:
5 years, solid experience in project management, as well as effectiveness at managing several internal/externalcustomers.
* History of setting aggressive yet attainable goals, and motivating teams to achieve them
* Passion to dig in and lead the development of ground:breaking networking products
* Direct work experience in OAM, MPLS and related technologies (VPLS, Pseudowires) is highly desirable.
* Proven track record of successful and timely product delivery
* Experience with popular L2/Ethernet Switching, L3 (TCP/IP) and routing protocols.
* Experience with traffic generation tools such as IXIA/Spirent.
* Direct experience with networking products and protocols is strongly preferred.
* Mustpossess excellent oral and written communication skills.
