Role Summary/Purpose: Locomotive System Integration Engineer is a key member of the Medium and Light Weight Locomotive Systems team responsible to ensure integration of keysub systems at Locomotive level. He / She is responsible to collaborate with CoE teams, Manufacturing and Sourcing teams to ensure key interfaces are identified and verified. He/ She also need to provide build support during the initial loco:build
Essential Responsibilities: Locomotive Systems Integration Engineer is responsible to ensure integration of key sub systems, their interface, packaging and build. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short:term and some long:term business goals.
Execute with some guidance the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
Provide technical leadership to other personnel assigned to support the effort on assigned projects and/or tasks; mentors others in the organization
Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Qualifications/Requirements: : Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
: 8+ Years of experience is at the Locomotive system level or any of the key sub systems
: Good understanding and hands on experience in Engineering design process and tools
: Familiar with Locomotive Programs, System studies, build and Localization
