Role Summary/Purpose: The Lead Java Developerwill be responsible for leading a team in helping redesign / enhance the GE Trade Payables Batch funding systems and platform. To be successful, you'll need to proactively drive technology, product, and architectural direction as well as mentor other developers within the organization. This role will interface with the business and other developers to ensure business requirements are translated into detailed technical specifications. This role is also responsible for

Essential Responsibilities:
: Lead a team to analyze, define, document and code new software enhancement requests that are aligned to business growth initiatives.
: Has a passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well
: Defines detailedfunctional and technical specifications required to satisfy business requirements for programs, projects, and releases
: Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications.
: Lead and mentor developers both within and outside your immediate team
:: Manage programming and design evolution across multi:generation product releases.
: Designs, implements and maintains the application:specific blueprints, life:cycle plans, and roadmaps.
: Assist with new client integrations including system configurations and integration testing
Qualifications/Requirements: : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field
: 3 plus years' experience in Java software development
: Strong core Java, JEE, OO design skills and understanding of design patterns,
: Good knowledge on many from the following technology stack : Java, J2EE, JSP, Struts, Spring Framework, MVC, SQL (RDBMS Knowledge e.g Oracle), App server Knowledge (Weblogic/JBoss etc.), OSGi, SOAP/REST webservices
: Knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases
: Strong Debugging and Troubleshooting Expertise
: Strong communication skills (oral and written)
