Role Summary/Purpose: The Java developer will be responsible for writingcode to support and enhance the iRemarket application, used by the Asset Management Remarketing team to manage inventory and sell assets at end:of:lease. This role will interface with business users, production support, and other developers to troubleshoot incidents and respond to service requeststo insure application availability. Role includes analysis, technical design, and development to resolve defects and support product enhancements.
Essential Responsibilities: : Proactively monitors the support queue of reported defects and incidents.
: Performs technical analysis to identify and troubleshoot application code:related issues.
: Develops and implements technical solutions for defects and enhancement requests.
: Participates in code reviews and ensures that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications.
: Manages programming and design evolution across multi:generation product releases.
: Designs, implements and maintains the application:specific blueprints, life:cycle plans, and roadmaps.
: Assists in development of User Acceptance Test strategy, test plans, test cases and interpretation of test results
: Builds functional knowledge and subject matter expertise in the Asset Management Remarketing space.
: Ensures standard release processes (e.g. tollgate reviews, architecture reviews, etc.) are followed
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field
: 3 + years experience inJava software development on web:based platform
: Strong core Java, J2EE, OO design skills and understanding of design patterns,
: Strong knowledge in the following technology stack : Java, J2EE, Hibernate, GWT, Spring Framework, Oracle Database, App server Knowledge (JBoss, Websphere, etc.), SOAP/REST webservices
: Experience with Oracle 11g/ PLSQL and understanding of relational databases, including stored procedures, triggers, packages.
:Application integration experience with web services and MQ
: Experience with StarTeam or other change/configuration management tools
: Strong Debugging and Troubleshooting Expertise
: Strong communication skills (oral and written)
