Role Summary/Purpose: The Java developer will be responsible for writing code to build and support the GE Trade Payables systems and platform. This role will interface with the business and other developers to ensure business requirements are translated into detailed technical specifications. Assist production support team in troubleshooting any system issues and ensuring application is up and operating efficiently. This role is also responsible for monitoring the Batch funding application and troubleshooting any

Essential Responsibilities:
: Proactively monitors the TPS Batch funding application and troubleshooting any issues with the scheduled funding jobs
: Defines detailed functional and technical specifications required to satisfy business requirements for programs, projects, and releases
: Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications.
: Assist in the Identification and troubleshooting of application code:related issues
: Manage programming and design evolution across multi:generation product releases.
: Designs, implements and maintains the application:specific blueprints,life:cycle plans, and roadmaps.
: Assist in development of User Acceptance Test strategy, test plans, test cases and interpretation of test results
: Build functional knowledge and subject matter expertise on the Trade Payable application.
: Ensure standard release processes (e.g. tollgate reviews,architecture reviews, etc.) are followed
: Assist with new client integrations including system configurations and integration testing
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field
: 3 + years experience in Java software development
: Strong core Java, JEE, OO design skills and understanding of design patterns,
: Good knowledge on many from the following technology stack : Java, J2EE, JSP, Struts, Spring Framework, MVC, SQL (RDBMS Knowledge e.g Oracle), App server Knowledge (Weblogic/JBoss etc.), OSGi, SOAP/REST webservices
: Knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases
: Assist production support team with any system issues as they arise
: Strong Debugging and Troubleshooting Expertise
: Strong communication skills (oral and written)
