Job Summary:
The Test Engineering team in VisaNetIntegrated Payment (VIP) delivers quality services and solutions usingbest:in:class processes, methodologies, and technology with our worldwideworkforce. We are an integral part of delivering projects that support theWorld Wide Business Releases bi:annually, monthly and weekly projects andmaintenance work, as well as multiyear infrastructure projects that introducenew programming logic via, C++ and Object Oriented code. We also support andworkwith other peer Test Engineering organizations on integration, downstreamtesting to ensure no defects impact production processes.
The Network Processing Test Engineering team committed to leveraging innovativetechnology to enhance software quality and to accelerate time:to:market. Wetest approximately 800 to 1000 changes to our systems in any given year whilecollaboratively maintaining a better than 99.7 percent fail safe percentage toan authorization system that supports up to 40,000 transactions per second(billions of messages a year). Visa has one of the most visible and most usedcomprehensive payment systems in the world. It is an exciting time for anyprofessional to join the Network Processing Test Engineering team.
The Staff QA Engineer, VIP QA will be based in Bangalore, India and will reportto Visas Network Processing Test Engineering Management based in Foster City.The successful candidate will support Test Engineering efforts for the VisaNetIntegrated Payment (VIP) system, Visas largest revenue generating platform andwork with other peer Test Engineering organizations to insure seamless code releases.
Primary Responsibilities:
:Designand develop test plans and functional test cases from business requirements andconceptual documents
:Collaboratewith the Development, Product and System Architecture teams to analyze, debugand resolve design and code issues
:Buildand Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze and report test results todevelopment and productteams.
:Supportcross:functional teams in integrated test efforts.
:Reportproject status and issues to Project Managers and Management
:Implementstandard processes, tools, and metrics to deliver large:scale projects frominception to conclusion that meet quantifiable business objectives.
:Design,develop and maintain test environments and automated test suites.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
:Bachelors degree in a technical discipline required, advanced degree a plus.
:5 : 10 years of working experience in the IT industry, preferably in Electronic Payments.
:Good understanding of Quality Assurance processes and methodologies
:4+ years' experience
