ASIC FUNCTION:
Candidate shall be primarily responsible for automotive infotainment requirements engineering, customer defect tracking and change management with role encompassing requirements elicitation, analysis, stake holder negotiation, documentation, validation, communication and active customer defect and change management.
Candidate should be automotive infotainment professional with minimum 8 years experience out of which minimum 4 years should be relevant infotainment experience.
Candidate shall be familiar with automotive infotainment development life cycle and shall have exposure to typical infotainment requirements including Software, Mechanical, Hardware, Qualification and Process.
Candidate shall possess excellent communication and inter personal skills on discussing and negotiation with all stake holders, internal as well as external
Candidate shall demonstrate meticulous eye for detail and willingness to learn and work hands:on on the tools and process prescribed for requirements documentation and change management.

Essential Duties:
1.Elicit, develop and document customer requirements. Develop technical functionalspecifications based on high level customer specifications and internal documents to clearly and concisely capture what is required of the product. Where specifications do not exist, work with the customer and suppliers to define the requirements. Maintain these specifications as the project moves forward in time and as changes in the understanding of the product requirements continue to evolve. The requirements shall be documented in DOORS and other internal tools on regular basis.
2.Manage customer requirements. Track customer specifications and versions to ensure proper product definition.Track and resolve customer specification issues. Interface with both the customer and Harman Engineering teams to coordinate a successful resolution of these issues. Document and maintain product requirement exceptions, i.e. specification wavier list. Organize all product specifications in a mannerthat allows for simplified requirements topic searching (e.g. WIKI Page).
3.Support customer meetings in areas of focus.
4.Support and lead supplier meetings in areas of focus.
5.Requirements status reporting. On a per project basis, track and report the status of requirements definition. Identify risk level associated with new feature development based on requirements status.
6.Support Harman internal organizations. Support various engineering functions as necessary for product and sub system level requirements such as product DFMEA, Schematic Reviews, Warranty, Diagnostics, DVP and R, UsersManual, Technical Service Bulletins, Appearance Approvals and PSO follow up. Support the software/hardware/mechanical developers at the unit and system level to insure that all requirements are met and the highest software quality is achieved. Support program management and sales team to make presentations on areas of focus.
7.Coordinate change management. Work with the customer, Harman Product Engineering teams, program management and sales organizations to document the impact analysis of customer driven and internally driven product changes. Track each change individually from the inceptionthrough the requirements analysis phase and finally to the customer change notification approval.
8.Identify product requirement or performance issues. Works with team to negotiate resolution.
