Reuters seeks News Publishing Specialist in Bangalore to curate news stories, pictures, graphics and video for financial readers. The News Publishing Specialist will be part of a team curating that content to produce news pages on Thomson Reuters terminals and publish multimedia newsletters aimed at professionals ranging from market traders to fund managers.We are the leading source of intelligent information for the world's businesses and professionals, providing customers with competitive advantage. Reuters seeks editors in Bangalore to run front pages and newsletters across sectors and regions. The world’s leading multimedia news agency publishes more than 10,000 items every day, including headlines, stories, pictures and videos. Sorting through that content and curating top-news pages and newsletters aimed at professionals ranging from market traders to fund managers will be the core job of the News Publishing Specialist.
Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. At least one year experience on an editing desk or publishing team, covering financial news
2. Strong news judgment and ability to prioritize news, analysis and views for an investment audience
3. Ability to rewrite headlines, news leads and captions to suit audience requirements
4. Build news packages with pictures, video and related content
5. Strong interest and expertise in monitoring international news wires and other outlets, including social media
6. Keen interest in specializing in companies, commodities or economics
7. Quick learner and adopter of new technologies, including publishing trends
8. Able to work night shifts on rotation
