Description The Engineer Project Lead will provide global leadership and oversight to the environmental product compliance assurance functions, activities and initiatives for Aerospace, establishing strong working relationships with engineering, business and ISC functions globally. The Engineer Project Lead will focus on Alternative Material projects related to Materials Obsolescence and Regulatory restrictions impacting Honeywell Aerospace.? The position will provide Aerospace with direct visibility to product regulatory compliance challenges to ensure proper leadership engagement and rapid response to product stewardship compliance needs ? The position will provide Project Management of multiple alternative material projects related to the elimination of hexivalent chrome, cadmium, beryllium, lead free, or other projects that surface as a result of obsolescence or regulatory restrictions.o Develop project plans with cross functional teams to clearly define objectives, deliverables, resource requirements and timing o Define risks and mitigation plans to address potential issues that may cause the projects to miss objectives and deliverable o Coordinate/collaborate with functional managers to ensure team members are available to work the project? Manage the performance of all sub-projects within an alternate material project ? Maintain the Project Roadmap in ERS which identified substance usage and how Honeywell plans to eliminate the restricted substance ? Review each sub-project monthly in preparation for the Alt Mat MOR ? Meet with each sub-project lead to discuss Plan versus Actual spend and any needed monthly adjustments? Identify sub-project issues and work with the PP&C to ensure the plans align with the needs ? Ensure sub-project leads submit their 4-Ups for the Alt Mat MOR, and cover for those who can't attend ? Identify other potential projects (pipeline) that fall under the main project heading o Submit justifications for new projects o Work with Product Stewardship to fund the new effortsQualifications Basic Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or technical field. ? 5 years in leadership positions including global, cross-functional experience Additional Qualifications: ? Six Sigma Blackbelt/Greenbelt certification desirable ? Familiarity with aerospace products? Knowledge and management experience with global aspects of product stewardship ? Experience in product regulations ?
