Role Summary/Purpose:
Control technical leader will have to provide solution to all regional customer's technical queries and issues coming out of turbo machinery fleets . The fleets will include Gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, electric motors and their combinations. The person will coordinate with relevant departments and provide correct resolutions for the fleet issues as per business expectations in terms of quality and on time delivery.
Essential Responsibilities:
Technical Leader 5 demonstrate responsibility to resolve regional customers issues in the area of turbo machinery controls. Has the experience or expertise to solve customer field issues. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
- Serve as a Service Engineering single point reference for Customer, contract performance managers, Technical accounts, Field Service Engineers.
- Identify missing info immediately & Resolve cases with responsiveness & Sense of urgency
- Perform technical investigation & Accountable for solution provided & aware of implications of solution
- Interact with functional leaders and expert of the domain in order to solve the service cases within allowable time limits.
- Use & upkeep troubleshooting guidelines for the turbo machinery products
- Ability to perform RCAs by going into the depth of critical issues through expertise, tools, proactive engagement with experts .
- Travel to customer locations in the region in case deemed necessary for attending customer meetings.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- B.E/B.Tech (Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical and Instrumentation)
- At least 5-6 years of strong experience in Turbomachinery control systems such as MarkVI, Vie etc
- Overall experience of 10-15 years in controls & Instrumentation domain with strong knowledge on Oil and Gas applications.
- Good knowledge in various turbo machinery products(Centrifugal compressor & gas turbine ) subsystem functions, design, operation & maintenance
- Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards in Oil & Gas rotating equipment relevant to instrumentation & control discipline.

- Passion & Technical aptitude for solving service requests in controls & instrumentation domain.- Engineering depth, responsiveness, Strong attention to detail & expertise in centrifugal compressor and gas turbine- Good team player with high degree of networking capability to work in a global team- Willingness to travel to customer locations under short notice- Ability to effectively provide direction and training to other engineers- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills- Knowledge of GE processes and systems would be an added advantage.- Six sigma green belt certification- Masters in technical communication with presentation skills.
